Biography

Elise is a passionate sustainable designer, ethical entrepreneur and environmental advocate focused on building responsible and sustainable consumer goods. She holds extensive experience in sustainable interior and product design and achieved a Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability from Harvard University. As Co-Founder and Head of Sustainability at Altos Planos Collective, creators of brands Mijenta Tequila and Tres Tribus, Elise oversees the company's sustainability initiatives ensuring products brought to market are innovative, ethically distributed and produced in harmony with the needs of the environment.

Her current work is in strategy to achieve Net Zero goals by 2030, reflecting her commitment to a sustainable future. Elise has contributed significantly to the growth of Mijenta Tequila, helping it establish a presence in key markets such as the U.S., London, and Spain. Under her stewardship, Altos Planos has obtained B Corp certification and achieved climate neutrality, leading to partnerships with major retailers like Target and Whole Foods who increasingly value brands who tread lightly.

Elise has been recognized for her strong commitment to environmentally responsible business practices. Her efforts have garnered Best Sustainable Products of the Year 2023 award from Ecovia Intelligence for Mijenta and the Best Producer of the Year 2023 from IWSC for Altos Planos. Additionally, proving that both product quality and environmental outcomes can be pursued in parallel, Tres Tribus Mezcal has received an IWSC Gold Medal in 2023.
